Rick's extensive professional legal experience includes local and multi-state representation for both large and small companies. He carries an individual "AV" rating by Martindale-Hubbell. Rick devotes a significant part of his practice to handling both litigation and transactional work in banking, corporate, commercial, contract and employment law, including extensive work negotiating and drafting executive and intellectual property protection agreements, as well as software development, marketing, licensing and reseller agreements. Rick regularly handles the negotiations and preparation of documents for the purchase and sale of businesses, stock redemptions and small business family successions. Rick is an experienced litigator with significant court and jury trial experience, and regularly practices before the Minnesota state courts as well as before the civil and bankruptcy courts of the United States District of Minnesota. He was certified in 2002 as a Civil Trial Specialist by the Civil Litigation Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association.
